Vast Healthcare was founded by Vanessa Telford and Arbab Shah. We both agree that the healthcare sector “found us” rather than us choosing a career in care.

Our team, which is built of naturally caring and empathetic healthcare professionals, are committed to providing high-quality care services that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life for our clients. Vast Healthcare Limited is led by Vanessa and Arbab and our joint aim is to provide a seamless service of care and best practices. We have a commitment to delivering high-quality homecare services to our clients.

We provide a seamless service of care that involves paying attention to every detail of our client’s experience, from the initial contact to the delivery of the service and beyond. This requires careful planning, effective communication, and a focus on customer satisfaction.

We strive to implement best practices in our services which are essential for ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality care possible. This involves staying up-to-date on industry development, following evidence-based practices, and continuously evaluating and improving our services.

It is our ambition for our service users and their loved ones to be overjoyed with the service provided by Vast Healthcare. We carefully select our homecare staff based exclusively on their suitability for the post. Vanessa Telford (Director)

My name is Arbab Shah prior to my career in the care sector, I devoted my time to being a full-time mother and raising my family. As my children grew older and more independent; I felt a void and wanted to fill it, as I still had this caring nature and lots of care to give and share with others! I felt a desire to continue providing care and support to others. I began my journey in the care industry as a care assistant at a reputable care company, quickly advancing to administrative roles and eventually becoming a senior care coordinator. After working for several years, I transitioned to a new role as a quality assurance manager at another care company. After gaining a vast amount of knowledge and experience, my thirst to care grew further to broaden my horizon, and felt the world is my oyster! I was inspired by the vast array of people I was either caring for or delivering a care service to. I knew this is my ‘calling to care’ and so; I set up my own company with my partner Vanessa Telford who also had her ‘Calling to care’ and this is how our journey commenced.

I believe nothing is impossible if you truly put your heart, mind and soul into what you want to achieve, you can overcome any obstacles which may come your way!

Where do we start?

The process of providing care at home typically involves several steps, which may include:

The first step in providing care at home is to assess a person’s care needs. This may involve an initial assessment by a healthcare professional, such as a care manager, to determine the level of care required.

Should our client be transitioning from a different care provider we provide a “client transition/handover document” for the previous care provider to fill in; this is to provide us with a better insight into our client’s care needs as they will have ascertained first-hand knowledge of the client whilst caring for them. Once this is received we will then arrange for a handover from the previous care provider to us for a smooth and a seamless transition. It is our aim to work collaboratively with array of different healthcare professionals involved in the clients care. This is a unique process we as a home care provider deliver to ensure every minute detail is retrieved for example how a client may like to drink their tea, individuals particulars make a vast amount of difference!

Once their care needs have been assessed, a care plan is developed. The care plan outlines the specific care services that will be provided, including the frequency and duration of visits, as well as any special requirements or preferences.

The next step in providing care at home is to coordinate the care services. This may involve scheduling visits, arranging for the delivery of medical supplies or equipment, and communicating with other healthcare professionals involved in the care services provided.

The actual care and support services are provided directly to the individual in their home. This may include assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as medication management, meal preparation, housekeeping, and companionship.

The final step in providing care at home is to monitor progress and evaluate the effectiveness of the care services provided. This may involve regular check-ins with the individual and their family, as well as ongoing assessments of their care needs and adjustments to the care plan as necessary.
